Wise Woman Workshop - navigating the menopause naturally
Saturday 4 May & Saturday 3 August 10am-2pm

I first started running these Wise Woman Workshops in 2019 and now I'm bringing them back!   Let's talk.  Let's talk about how to manage menopause symptoms naturally.

 

Leslie is an experienced massage therapist, Reiki Master, homeopath and yoga teacher who strives to manage life's little tribulations as naturally as possible and aspires to transition into a calm Wise Woman.

During this workshop we will start with a yin yoga practice to ease muscles and joints and encourage you to go inward and find the peace within you. Yin is a gentle practice and is accessible to everyone so please don't worry if you don't have any experience with yoga. The majority of postures are on the floor and I will provide everything you need. All you need to do is to show up in comfortable clothes, a can-do attitude and with your trademark mischievous smile....

Following a refreshment break we will talk about how menopause symptoms are affecting you and the best ways to manage this change naturally. Or perhaps you're not yet experiencing symptoms and you just want to get ahead of the game - this workshop will be perfect for you too!

Some of the topics we will discuss will include lifestyle, exercise, acupressure, aromatherapy, herbs, homeopathy and more. I limit this workshop to 6 participants so there will be plenty of time for discussion.

You will be sent away with a comprehensive manual with all the information we discuss, including a yin yoga practice for you to indulge in at home.

 

The cost for this workshop is £50 and all snacks and refreshments are provided for.  Mats, blocks, cushions and blankets are also all provided.

Summer Solstice Mini Retreat

Autumn Equinox Mini Retreat
Saturday 21 September 2-6pm 

Let's spend some time together focussing on the energies of the Autumn Equinox. Autumn is nature’s prompt to let go. We can see change in the shifts in weather, the turning of the leaves and we yearn to snuggle up and be a bit more hygge after the energy of the summer.

On this mini retreat we will begin with flow yoga to release tension and any unfulfilled expectation, moving into blissful and slow yin yoga. A mindful walk in silence in the surrounding fields follows after which you will have the opportunity to meditate or journal on what you have noticed. During your walk perhaps you will find offerings from nature to use in your crafting later.

Time for snacks and refreshments before taking some creative time to make a memento of your day using autumn's natural bounty.  Leaves, twigs, plants, flowers - all to be provided.

The day will run from 2-6pm at my home studio in Preston, Weymouth. We are close to fields where we will take our silent walk

Here is the plan for the day:

14:00-14:10: Welcome and settle in
14:10-15:40: Flow yoga 
15:40-16:20: Mindful walk in silence followed by an opportunity to journal
16:20-16:45: Refreshments
16:45-18:00: Craft time!

The cost for the day is £50 which includes all refreshments as well as all your crafting supplies.

Red Leaves

Deep Rest Afternoon
Sunday 3 November 2-4:30pm 

As we head into the colder months join me to indulge in an afternoon of deep rest.  Learn a mala meditation, where you will receive a gemstone mala to take home with you, and learn how to tap into this gentle form of mindfulness. You will be able to continue this practice with your new mala whenever you would like to.

Meditation can help reduce stress levels, improve sleep, and lower blood pressure, among many other benefits. But meditation isn’t always easy - I really struggle to quieten the monkey brain. Many of us find it hard, especially in the beginning, to keep our minds from wandering.  And that’s where mala beads come in.  Mala beads can help you to keep focus, facilitating that stillness we crave.  

During this restful afternoon we gentle, flowing yoga to open and warm the muscles.  We will then familiarise ourselves with our malas and learn how to use them.  Perhaps focussing on the breath or using a mantra  or intention.  We thenl finish with Reiki yin yoga - settling into the stillness of long held poses where you can receive hands on Reiki if you wish. An opportunity to bank up your energy for the winter to come.


​Yin yoga encourages you to go inward and find the peace within you. Yin is a gentle practice and is accessible to everyone so please don't worry if you don't have any experience with this. The majority of postures are on the floor and I will provide everything you need.

Reiki is a gentle form of hands on healing.  Once settled into a yin pose it is a wonderful opportunity to receive this energy if you wish.

We will complete this afternoon with snacks and refreshments and an opportunity to mingle or perhaps just take some quiet time on your mat.

The cost for this afternoon is £40 which includes your mala and refreshments.  Mats, blocks, cushions and blankets are also all provided.

Japamala

Winter Solstice Mini Retreat
Sunday 22 December & Sunday 29 December 2-6pm

The winter solstice celebrates the beginning of Winter and acknowledges the shortest day of the year. 

This mini-retreat is an opportunity to gather at a time when life can become frantic. We turn our backs on the bright lights, cheesy music and excessive shopping and instead take our attention inwards in a nurturing space to practice mindful movement together and then take our thoughts to the coming New Year.

We begin the day in the present, linger in the past of the ending year, and then turn our attention to the year to come.  

We will begin with a yin and flow yoga to practice to arrive in our bodies and shake off any unfulfilled expectation from this past year. Following this we will have snacks and tea or mulled wine and begin to manifest what we like from the coming year.

We will do this by creating vision boards to take home. Vision boards are a collection of images or objects arranged in a way to help you manifest your goals or vision. Your vision board will be yours to take home with you. You may wish to bring some meaningful images or items to include on your vision board and if you don't complete it on the day you would be able to continue working on it as and when you wish.

Our mini-retreat will take place in my home studio in Preston in Weymouth 2pm until 6pm on Sunday 22 December and if this date doesn't work for you I will run be running the day again on Sunday 29 December.

15:45-17:30: Vision boarding

Spring Equinox Self Care Mini Retreat

Join me for the afternoon to focus on self care.  

Spend the afternoon with me to welcome in the Spring Equinox - a time to of change and new beginnings. Let’s turn our backs on the darkness and feel the warmth of the sun on our faces. 

Our focus will be on self care, a reenergising to take us into the sunnier months.

Plan for the day
14:00-14:10: Welcome and settle
14:10-15:30: Gentle flowing yoga 
15:30-16:00: Refreshments
16:00-16:30: Jade roller facial workshop (jade roller and oil provided)
16:30-18:00: Yin yoga and guided meditation

The cost for the day is £55 which includes your refreshments as well as a jade roller and bottle of rosehip oil to take away with you.  Mats, blocks, cushions and blankets are also all provided.
